What is VBG?

VBG is a global solution for verifying product data by querying the GS1 Global Registry Platform (GRP).

Through Macao BarcodePlus, brand owners provide product data and obtain unique barcodes that comply with international standards. The product data will be shared with the GS1 Global Registry Platform. Currently, Macao BarcodePlus has recorded over 10,000 products with barcodes starting with 958, and the number of products continues to increase!

Through VBG, retailers, e-commerce platforms and consumers can easily search for and verify product data. All products around the world, if their data are validly uploaded to the GS1 GRP, can be verified.
